The change was made almost immediately after Coke’s former general counsel Bradley Gayton abruptly resigned last month after less than a year on the job. Gayton was accused of violating Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 by threatening outside law firms if they failed to hire more blacks and browns. Gayton and other “social justice warriors” (SJWs) should know by now that discriminating against people on the basis of skin color is illegal.
